Benson & Falgout Receives Construction Systems Project of the Year Award

BATON ROUGE, LA, May 18, 2021 – Benson & Falgout received the Master Builders Solutions (formerly BASF Construction Chemicals) Construction Systems Project of the Year Award. Master Builders Solutions Territory Manager, Roger Sosa, submitted the project for consideration based upon the project’s unique aspects, application techniques, sustainable construction methods, and cross-business unit collaboration.

Benson & Falgout, waterproofing contractor based in Baton Rouge, LA, won the honor for its work on the Bluebonnet Towers Apartments and the Family Worship Center, located on the campus of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in Baton Rouge. Completed in December 2020, the project involved over 180,000 sq. ft. of surface area.

According to Jay Falgout, Co-Founder, Benson & Falgout completed vertical concrete repairs, replaced the sealant on the expansion joints, and applied hydrophobic waterproof wall coating to repel water and dirt, and provide an easy to clean facade. The customized solutions achieved the owner’s goals for water and air-tight buildings and exteriors with a long-lasting appearance and very little maintenance.
